VANNECK-CLEWS
The marriage of Miss Louise Clews, only daughter of Mr. Henry Clews, of the Chateau of La Napoule, Alpes-Maritimes, FRance and Mrs. Clews, of Biarritz, France, to the Hon. Andrew Nicholas Armstrong Vanneck, second son of the late Hon. and Mrs. W.A. Vanneck, of The Cupola, Saxmunden, Sussex, England, and grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs W. Armstrong, of Toowoomba, Queensland, was celebrated on September 1 at St. Paul's Church, Cannes, France. The Bishop of Gibraltar officiated.
The bride was given away by her father, and wore a gown of draped ivory satin, with orange blossoms and white roses. Mr. Edward Jackson was the best man. There were no bridesmaids. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Chateau Garibondy, near Cannes, which was lent for the occasion by Miss Amy Paget. [1]
