JOHN LAWRENCE
John Lawrence died at his summer home in Southampton, L. I., on Sunday night from heart disease. Mr. Lawrence was a little over 60 years old, and was the son of John Riker and Margaretta Lawrence, his father having been a resident of Connecticut, and at one time its Governor. Mr. Lawrence's home was at 33 West Seventeenth street; New York City. He was a popular member of the Union Club, having joined the club in 1872, and for many years was one of its governors. He was also a prominent member of the Sons of the Revolution, of which society he was one of the mangers. Mr. Lawrence married Emily La Farge, and their children have been two daughters, the misses Margaretta and Aimee T. Lawrence. The body is to be brought to his home city to-day, and the funeral will be held at All Souls' Church, Fourth avenue and Twentieth street, New York City, to-morrow afternoon. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in the family plot. [1]
