CAMPBELL-BRODIE
Markdale, Apr. 28. - A pretty wedding was solemnized at 11 o'clock April 18th at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Brodie, North Glenelg, when their daughter Mildred Kathleen was united in marriage to William Leslie Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Campbell of Priceville. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John Galloway, pastor of North Glenelg Baptist church, in the presence of only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom. The bride, in a gown of blue georgette with brilliant buckles and wearing a white gold pendant set with pearls, the gift of the groom, entered the parlor on the arm of her father. She carried a bouquet of bridal roses, baby fern and pink feathers, knotted with silver ribbon, the gift of her uncle, Mr. R. Brodie, of Toronto. The wedding march was played by Mr. Galloway. During the signing of the register, Mrs. Galloway sang an appropriate solo. Mr. R. J. Brodie and Miss Lena Ellison of Durham signing as witnesses.
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell left on a motor trip, the bride wearing a sand coat with hat, scarf, gloves and hose to match. The happy couple will reside on a farm on the 4th concession of Glenelg. [1]
