Obituaries - Louis D. Chavez
Louis D. Chavez, a Reno resident for 55 years, died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was 71.
Born Feb. 2, 1901, in Michigan, he was a retired employe for the Virginia and Truckee Railroad.
Survivors include his daughter, Catherine Johnson of Reno, son Clarence of Reno, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wadsworth Cemetery with the Rev. David Tybo officiating. O'Brien-Rogers & Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. [1]
