    Notes
    • Contemporary documentation has not yet identified the mother of Vance Murray CAMPBELL's children. She was a Native American woman of the Ioway Tribe. Online trees suggest that her name was Eliza Notchimine, daughter of Chief No Heart.

There is an Iowa woman, Eliza, daughter of Chief No Heart, recorded on the 1856 Allotments, who was assigned allotment 82. However, she was recorded as age 20. This Eliza, daughter of Chief No Heart, would not be old enough to be the mother of Vance Murray's children George (19), Sophia (13), William (11) and Susan (9).

Eliza, daughter of Chief No Heart of Fear, of the Ioway Tribe is alleged to have descended from:

Chief Notchinga (No Heart of Fear) (bc. 1797, Iowa; d 2 Sep 1862, Nebraska), who was the son of Man-Haw-Gaw (d. 1804), and m. Cadi TUMEY

If these dates are correct, the Eliza, daughter of Chief No Heart could potentially be the daughter of Chief No Heart of Fear and Cadi TUMEY, but is too young to be the mother of Vance Murray CAMPBELL's children.
