    • James Morgan appears to have arrived in Sonora, Mexico, at least by 1830, considering the ages of two of his children. His reasons for emigrating are unknown, but it is believed that he followed the Santa Fe Trail as did his brother Richard. Once in Taos, he may have gone to El Paso before he headed to the heart of Sonora, settling in a town like Huepac or Ures, both of which are near Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. [1]
