	The 1840 Census of Portsmouth, Virginia, recorded the family of Ann D. Campbell. Four females were in the household: 1 between ages 5-10; 1 between 15-20; 1 aged 30-40; and 1 aged 50-60. Presumably, her husband Archibald was at sea, she was aged 30-40; had 2 daughters and a mother living with her. She is not listed in either the 1850 or the 1860 Virginia censuses. [1]
