Fashionable Marriages
Yesterday the marriage of Lord Walter Campbell, third son of the Duke of Argyll, and Miss Olivia Milns, only daughter of Mr. John Clarkson Milns, of The Oaks, Radcliffe, Lancashire, and of Asory House, Bute, was celebrated at St. George's Church, Notting-hill. The bride was attended to the altar by the Ladies Elizabeth, Victoria, Evelyn, Frances, Mary, and Constance Campbell, sisters of hte bridegroom; Lord Walter's groomsman being Mr. J. C. R. Milns, brother of the bride. The Very Rev. The Dean of Chester performed the ceremony, assisted by the Rev. W. D. Carter, M.A., of Stand-lane, Lancashire, and the Rev. C. Leveson, B.A., vicar of St. George's. After the ceremony the weddng party and friends breakfasted with the Duke and Duchess of Argyll, at Argyll Lodge, Campden-hill, where the Princess Louise (Marchioness) and the Marquis of Lorne, the Duke of Westminster, the Duchess of Sutherland, &c. Early in the afternoon Lord Walter and his bride left town for Dornden, the Marquis of Lorne's residence at Tunbridge Wells, to spend the honeymoon. [6]
