      Indian Sailor Reported Missing

      Listed as missing in action is Leland C. Chavez, seaman, first class, parents of the well-known Indian youth, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Chavez of Reno, received a telegram from the navy department this week advising them of their son's disappearance and adding that details were unavailable at this time.

      A second son, Pfc. Clarence Chavez, is fighting with the 4th marine division on Iwo Jima. Both boys attended the Reno schools. [4]
